Face and Humans, In Plain Sight.
7/28/08 by Brian Meyers |
A team powered by homeruns and tyrant scoring outbursts, this KWL rookie team is not hiding in the shadows, but instead they are out in plain sight. The Face and Humans sounds more like cult then a power hitting team in the KWL’s National league. The team name has no real meaning, but these guys have struck fear into the eyes of scheduled on looker all season long. |
On Thursday July 24th, The Face and Humans swept the Indians to lock up the final playoff spot. The Humans will finish in 3rd place regardless of their last week, but next Thursday’s matchup with the Belly Itchers will decide who they play in the First Round.
The Face were 1-3 to start the season, but managed to win 8 of the next 12 games including a 3-1 record against fellow NL playoff hopeful the Angry Beavers. Throughout the entire 08’ season, the Humans scored nearly 7 runs per game and hit .354 as a team. |

During this time, Rookie of Year Tony Leveque stepped into fill the biggest teams need; a solid consistent pitcher. Tony gave the team a presents from the other side of the ball as he struck out nearly 8 batters per game. |
Team Captain Josh Little used Yellow G2 water, chest bumps and high fives to motivate his team all season long. Josh also led by example has he made a run for the MVP and became one of the most feared hitters in the history of the league, with an OPS near 1.400.
After 10 weeks of play, the Face and Humans will try to get The Gentlemen and the Itchers to drink the Kool-aid in the playoffs as they make a run for the Township Series. |
