National League 2008 Preview.

As an on looker or new player of the Kalamazoo Wiffleball League, it is sometimes hard to follow along without knowing some basic things about each team; Who are they? What to expect? Take some time and learn a little about each team.


Indians

Who are they?
Five KWL veterans and one of the six returning kwl franchises. Last seasons wild card winner. Team features kwl superstar, Jamey detamore.

What to expect?
Jamey will swing a big stick and run home some runs for the Indians. Jim Noel will anchor the pitching staff and manage the lineups. Team Page.


The Gentlemen

Who are they?
Last seasons National League pennet winners. Probably the most solid lineup top to bottom in the KWL including Franchise player and league offensive monster; Bryan Jennings.

What to expect?
Feirce competition, they are not here to make friends. Will run the score up and not let up. They have one goal this season; Championship. Anything else will be consitered a failure. Team Page.



StoneCutters

Who are they?
100% brand new team with a packed full six person roster.

What to expect?
You will probably find these guys floating around the forth or fifth slot in the standings and should be battling for the last playoff spot. Team Page.




Face and the Humans

Who are they?
They picked up the remaining expansion team slot and wound up playing on Thursday nights. All new players to the league with what appears to be an athletic past.

What to expect?
They should be able to hold their own in the years toughest division. Depending on their pitching, might be fighting for a playoff berth.




Belly Itchers

Who are they?
Your 2007 KWl Champions (minus Nate). Team is anchored down by Ace Pitcher AJ Tate and two great KWL sluggers; Mike Downs and Adam Bontrager.

What to expect?
Probably the best all round team in the league. Dominating pitching, stiffling Defense and prolific hitting. Team Page.


Angry Beavers

Who are they?
A cast of characters like no other in the league. A team that trash talks to each other all game long. Team features hilarious nicknames and lots of potential.

What to expect?
At least a 3 man pitching rotation. Will score most of their runs with the long ball. Team Page.
