Week 2: Get out the Brooms.
| The American League had an off week for Memorial Day, but the National League pressed on. The Brooms were in attendance as, The Beavers, Belly Itchers, and The Gentleman took both of their respective games. |
Beavers vs. StoneCutters
The StoneCutters continue to struggle offensively as they drop two games to The Angry Beavers. The Beavers move into second place with this sweep and continue to play well and score a lot of runs. The best part of the evening was when Beaver rookie Jordan made Parfaits for everyone!! Horay for Jordan. When the f__k did we get ice cream? (Bonus: Name that movie qoute!) |
The Gentlemen vs. Face and Humans
Newcomer Matt Jennings (no relation to Bryan Jennings) pitched well against the defending National League Division champs, but fell pray to a 2-run Blast by none other then Bryan Jennings in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Gentleman battled for the second game as well, but ended up tacking on some insurance runs in the top of the 6th inning to win game two 6-1. We know, Shocking! |

Ams Indians vs. Belly Itchers
The Belly Itchers returned to their regularly scheduled offense after being shut down by The Gentleman in week 1. The Belly Itchers took out some pent up anxiety against The Tribe (Mike Downs still has MSB though, google it!) hitting 14 homeruns and scoring 24 runs!! |
The Commish’s Thursday Observations: |
1.) Rob of the StoneCutters resembles Joe Torre coaching the Dodgers (Where’s the offense!?!?) |
| |
2.) The Gentleman’s offense is not quite what it was last year, but they give up any hardly any runs! |
3.) Jason Jones’ jersey says “Bean 0” on the back. Beans, Beans, the Majical fruit! |
| |
4.) The Face and Humans pitching is actually pretty good! |
5.) I think the Belly Itchers Bat’s were Corked! Forteen Homers in two games?!?! You want some of that?!? |
