Industrials vs. Flyin' Wildebeest
This down played rivalry features a rematch of the 2008 American League Championship series. In 2008, the Wildies fought back after being down 2 games to 1 to defeat the Industrials and advance to the Township Series. Each team has been to the Township Series once, and one of the teams will become the only other team besides the Belly Itchers to make it to more then 1 Township Series. |
Industrials are 1-1 against the Wildebeest this season.
The Wildebeest are 1-1 versus the AL #3 Seed this season. |
Indies scored 2 runs this season against the American league Divsion champs.

The Wildies score 1 run against the Industrials this season |
The Industrials lost the 2008 AL Championship 2 games to 3. |
The Wildebeest defeated the Industrials in the 08 ALCS to advance to the Township Series. |
Key Players this series.
Todd Windbigler and Pat Kean's starts will be very pivotable in whether the Indies move on or pack it up for next year. Todd, a newer addition to the Industrial Express, has only a handful of games pitched under his belt, however of late he has become a solid 6 footer from the mount. Pat Kean has always pitched well against the Wildebeest and will need to keep his pitches down to keep the Wildies from taking him deep.
The biggest question mark for the Wildies is where their offense will come from. In order for the Wildies to have a chance at redeeming themselves from their 08' Township appearence (or should we say, lack thereof), Matt Kirsch will need to find his cut and start driving some runs! Matt's bat has been all but desolved since this years AllStar break and he will need to be a key cog in the 'Beests shuffle to the championship.

Key Players this series.
Mason Everett will be called upon again after his offensive outbreak against the Lemons in the NLDS. His ability to get big hits and drive in a large amount of runs will directly correlate with the outcome of this series and the outcome of the 2009 Monday Night 40s Season.
After a below average season from the plate, team captain Mike Downs will need to turn up the heat from the plate and contribute to the offense. He will also get at least 1 start from the mound and that start could prove to be pivitol to the continued success of the Itchers.
