League featured in the Kalamazoo Gazette.

Back in 2006, I met a gentleman that was interested in our wiffleball league. He was tossing discs at the Township Park and we were just starting the league. He game me his business card from the Kalamazoo Gazette. Fast forward to about a month ago. I was in the process of moving Daryl and my business to a new location. I was going

through my desk and found John Liberty's business card. I thought to myself, why on earth do I keep this stuff so long. About 2 hours later, Daryl and I were at Office Max picking up some stuff for the KWL when my phone rang. It was a local number, but nothing I recognized. I assumed, it was a call for my nemesis "Jack Webb" who collectors have called my phone for more then 2 years attempting to collect a debt (if you know "Jack Webb" or have any information on how to get a hold of him, please let me know! That jerk has been eating up my anytime minutes for years!). I Digress. I answered the phone and to my surprise it was John Liberty (name was still fresh in my mind from that morning) calling to see about doing an article on our league! I was very excited to have the opportunity to be featured in the local paper. A few nights later, Jerry Campbell was out on Opening day snapping photos and jotting down names. A few weeks later, John came out and did some interviewing and got a great feel for our league. John, a long time fan of our league had more then just a small blurb in mind; he was going for the full page feature! After several more

phone interviews the league is now featured as the "cover story" in Ticket. Thanks to everyone that took time to interview with John, thanks to all of those involved in the process at the Kalamazoo Gazette and special thanks to John Liberty for taking the time to feature our little wiffleball league. Hope to see your playing next year!
