KWL Rumor Mill 6. 1/18/2010 by Brian Meyers

We are getting close to end of the 2009-10 KWL Offseason, while only a couple of months remain before opening day! Before too long, we will once again will be getting ready for spring training! With that being said, it appears that the Rumor Mill might only keep printing for one or two more editions. Free agent frenzy should begin in February, as teams look to get their teams together for Spring.

Brink is BACK!
Un-Official reports have been made stating that Melissa Brink is back in Michigan and will be sporting SnowSuit Icey Blue for the 2010 season. All attempts to get an official team release have been unsuccessful, however I was able to get a response from Brink via Text, saying "It is true. My job was horrible".

Ducks finally seeking advantage?
In past seasons, the Sittin’ Ducks have been unable to fill their roster with enough ladies to take advantage of the “extra outfielder” rule.  However, Katie and Amber have been very aggressive in filling their roster with ladies for 2010, which is a good thing for the Ducks and everyone else in the league (sure does help with the weekly scenery!).

Loose Nuts shopping for Kirsch.
The Commissioner has confirmed that the Loose Nuts have contacted Matt Kirsch about 2010.  “This should be no surprise, everyone should be shopping for Matt Kirsch, he’s the biggest player that’s ever been on the free agent list!” said the Commish. If Matt was to join up with the Loose Nuts, he could easily catapolt the Nuts into a 2 or 3 seat in the playoffs.

B-Rich expanding the league.
Last week, the league office confirmed that Brian Richardson has been in contact about making a 2010 expansion team on Thursday night.  B-Rich has played in two seasons with the KWL, most notably in 2008 when he was a member of the Belly Itchers and was named the Township Series MVP.

Absolutely Cure-less in 2010?
After the disbanding of the Cure, Jason Whitney was the only player to jump onto the free agent list.  However, within the last week, Jason has stated that there is a strong chance he won’t be able to get his work hours lined up in order to play in 2010.
