The Good:
Team chemistry was upgraded ten fold with addition of new teammate Pat Burnell, which should translate into another exciting season of Indies Wiffleball. A consistent force at the top of the KWL, the team has amassed a .704 Winning Pct and has won a KWL high 62 games. Many have already penciled them in as a filler of a 2010 playoff spot.
The Bad:
The Indies are known for their very aggressive style; taking chances for extra bases and swinging freely at the plate. Often the refusal to take walks keeps run scoring low, forcing them to win with pitching.
The Ugly:
The staple of this teams defense consists of the highly risky, yet effective chest catch. You may not be able to throttle their pitching, but you certainly can take advantage of their spotty defense and miscommunications in the field.
The F-ugly:
For three consecutive seasons they have been shut down in the championship series of the playoffs and the last two seasons have lost after holding a 2-1 advantage in a best of 5 series. Can you spell C-H-O-K-E? |
